Guineapig

Guineapig is an Italian goregrind band formed in Rome in 2013. Drawing inspiration from splatter movies, medical experiments and rare diseases, the band delivers an uncompromising and massively heavy sound driven by ultra-low tunings, guttural vocals and crushing riffs.
After making a strong impact with their debut album Bacteria (2014), Guineapig quickly established themselves as one of the most distinctive names in the modern goregrind scene. The release, together with their split with Rompeprop in 2017, brought the band to the stages of major European festivals such as Brutal Assault, Party.San and Obscene Extreme, as well as extensive touring across Europe alongside acts like Gutalax and Spasm.
In 2022, eight years after their debut, Guineapig returned with their sophomore full-length Parasite, released via Spikerot Records. The album was widely praised for pushing the boundaries of goregrind while staying true to its roots, blending abysmal tunings, death metal mid-tempos and bone-crushing breakdowns. With Parasite, Guineapig reaffirm their status as one of the heaviest and most forward-thinking goregrind bands currently active.
